SPEAKERS INFORMATION

At this page you will find some informations about presenting your talk or poster at the PED2008. Further informations will follow after "notification of acceptance".

Template for Paper

Actually we have no template for the papers. The final deadline for paper submission will be announced at the conference.

Information for Speakers

If your abstract was accepted as a full talk, you are allowed to talk 20min to the audience. This means, that a DISCUSSION IS NOT INCLUDED in these 20 min. After each "group" of speakers (look at the program) a group discussion will take place (20min).

Information for Poster Presenters

The poster size is only limited in width, because we only have a limited number of panels and a very large number of posters. The poster width should not extend more than 75cm, the length is only limited by the size of our panels, which are 2m high. We do not recommend to use the complete lenght, for a good presentation your poster should not be longer then 120cm, but this is your decision.

Poster width: 75cm max. (or smaller)
Poster length: 120cm (recommend)

Materials for poster fixation will be provided at the conference, thus you only need to bring the poster with you.

There is no style guide for posters!

If you need electricity for your notebook (video presentation), please email to the conference office. If your poster is about a commercial software code, it is not allowed to present your commercial software on a notebook at the poster session. Only presentation of non-commercial software is allowed.

Because you should be in residence at your poster at one of the two poster sessions to answer questions, please look at the PDF file (click) for which Poster session your poster was chosen. 

Information for Poster Presenters regarding to the Poster Introduction Session 

For the Poster Introduction Session please create two PowerPoint slides where you show the content of your poster to the audience. This short presentation should ensure, that all participants know that you are presenting a Poster and which will be the content of your Poster. The presentition should not be longer than 1:30 min, because the time is limited.

Please email these two slides (and the video if you have one) to the conference office. Name your file with your poster-number (which you received in the notification mail) and your name, e.g. Poster_99_Jane_Doe, where 99 is your number and Jane_Doe is your name. If you include a video, plaese write this in your mail, then we will test the video... All slides will be presented at the conference office notebook, because it is not possible to change 40 different notebooks within one hour.
